Tribal Tattoos

Tribal is a broad term used to describe any tattoo tradition rooted in a nomadic or tribal community around the world, typically people with non-European and non-Japanese heritage.

As such, “tribal” can refer to native groups of North and South America, Southern Asia, Pacific Island nations, the entire continent of Africa and the African diaspora. Celtic and Nordic tattoos can also be included, depending on who you ask.
